Depending on the situation and if you know anyone in the other city:
1. There's always the local Porsche dealer
2. Are you a PCA member? Contact one of the local officers and get a
recommendation for an independent service shop...one that has not done the
regular service on the car you're interested in.
I've done both...and it has worked out.
