oil changes |
|
|
I recently had my Honda Accord oil changed using Mobile 1 synthetic
oil. The place I had it done said to come back in 10,000 miles or 9
months. This seems a bit too long beween changes, but I don't really
know. Anybody got any answers?
thanx in advance,

I have used Mobile one for almost 20 years now in a few cars and
though the oil does not break down as quickly, it still gets dirty
from comsustion byproducts that the filter does not remove. I would
say 5000 to 6000 miles tops between changes but even then when you
"feel" the oil between you fingers you will feel the grit it has
picked up compared to new clean oil.

Another issue to look at is pH. Oil should not too much acidity. |
