Gee thanks; now I have that stoo-pid "77 Sunset Strip" jingle in my

including lyrics my brother's dirty-mouthed friend made up for it.
77 Sunset Strip by Mack David and Jerry Livingston - 77 Sunset Strip
Lyrics
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
The street that wears a fancy label
That's glorified in song and fable.
The most exciting people pass you by

Seventy Seven Sunset Strip
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
You'll meet the high brow and the hipster
The starlet and the phony tripster
You'll see most every kind of gal and guy
Including a private eye.
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
Now what isn't there are the finger snapping twice after 77 Sunset
Strip (snap snap)
The real jingle goes, "77 Sunset Strip", then something else that I

however my brother's friend came up with "77 Sunset Strip; 77 suck

well you get the idea.
Ok....here are three more I recorded
China Beach
Hawaiian Eye
Surfide 6

We've had Dish network here for several years. About nine months ago
one of our receivers started acting up. I called Dish and they
shipped
out a new receiver, no charge including shipping. I like their
customer
support. I've been watching the NASA channel during STS114. Very
occasionally I'll switch on CNN or MSNBC to check what they have to
say
about the mission. About all they talk about is how risky this
mission
is and the failures ect ect, never anything positive. The crew has
been
absolutly perfect. This morning they're doing another EVA. They got
the cameras right on the suits so you can see everything they do.
It's
worth getting up early to watch. You get the facts as they happen on
the NASA channel, MSNBC and CNN its B.S. with commercials in between.
How is that digital video recorder to program. Can you get it
recording
with a push of a button in case something comes up fast on the
screen?
I have a VCR in the den but it's not easy or fast to program up in a
hurry.
Watching NASA TV now! Amazing!
The DVR is outstanding. Very easy to program. If you are watching a
show...just hit record and it records the rest. The previous 2 hours
can be replayed at any time just by pushing the back button.
Mine is a two receiver recorder....which means it can record two
separate programs at once.
There is a search button that lets you find '77 Sunset Strip' or

I would highly recommend it. See if they will work you a deal.
Will check on it.

We're stuck in an SBC zone for DSL. We had to battle with them at the last

Kankakee on Comcast is better 2.3 M, but occasionally at work I have to
test dialups for the salesmen before I ship out and where we work at, 24.6 k
dialup is the best dialup speed I can get. We do have our own T1 to the
internet now at work but salesmen have to be able to connect from very
remote spots. S. Barrington badly needs more trunks, it's grown so fast.

There is a search button that lets you find '77 Sunset Strip' or
whatever. Then you can tell it to record all the episodes (like I do
Colombo) and they are all there.

Gee thanks; now I have that stoo-pid "77 Sunset Strip" jingle in my mind -
including lyrics my brother's dirty-mouthed friend made up for it.

77 Sunset Strip by Mack David and Jerry Livingston - 77 Sunset Strip
Lyrics
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
The street that wears a fancy label
That's glorified in song and fable.
The most exciting people pass you by
Including a private eye.
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
You'll meet the high brow and the hipster
The starlet and the phony tripster
You'll see most every kind of gal and guy
Including a private eye.
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip
Seventy Seven Sunset Strip.
Now what isn't there are the finger snapping twice after 77 Sunset
Strip (snap snap)
| Quote: |
The real jingle goes, "77 Sunset Strip", then something else that I forget;
however my brother's friend came up with "77 Sunset Strip; 77 suck my...." -
well you get the idea.

Ok....here are three more I recorded
China Beach
Hawaiian Eye
Surfide 6

reminds me of my Navy son (when he was maybe 15)...out by our
pool...soaking up rays..
Playing this damned song that has lyrics
Boom Boom....come to my ROOM
our youngest (the Air Force boy who was about 5 at the time) picks up
the lyrics...and I can't get pissed....cause I'm laffin...
Those damned lyrics are firmly implanted in my brain...as is the
grin...

I was waiting to see old Charles of Kanker Sore start pining for
the
Good Old Days (tm)...
And look! Kanker Sore wants Robert E. Lee back! Heh... too bad,
Kanker Sore, but the South LOST and we're all moving towards
equality.
Anyone else catch this?
R.Lee isn't Robert E. Lee, it's R.Lee ERMEY, host of the TV show
Mail
Call (unless *I* misunderstood Charles' reference...).
...
I knew it, but didn't want to embarrass anyone
Natalie, mother of an R. Lee Ermey fan (He even has the autographed
action figure)
I have him on TVO....
Ooooh-Rah!
I love that guy.
Boy can he do a number on watermelons...LOL
I want his "Porsche"...
Since I moved to Kankakee, we can't get Mail Call at all. History
Channel
is a 'Digital Cable' channel, even though it's in the Analog band here.
I
miss Mail Call. History's Mysteries, etc. At least they're not All
Schicklegruber all the time.
Ditch the f*ing cable and get satellite!
Dish Network will fix you up with a free DVR (digital video recorder)
and free installation.
Then you can program it to search and record all the Mail Calls...and
other stuff that you like.
Excellent system.

Tiny problem, cable also provides web access. This 1908 house has only
one (1) phone jack. (I'm surprised it's not an old 4 prong plug, it's a
real RJ-11.) We battled with SBC DSL at the last house. They didn't
offer it when we first moved there, so we got Earthlink, then SBC kept
'fixing' the line so we'd give up on Earthlink and buy theirs (which was
no better at all and more expensive). Seems a shame that SBC bought
Ameritech and not the other way round. I miss Illinois Bell.
Charles of Kankakee
I like SBC WAY more than EarthStink, especially for web hosting. I get
tons more space and email addies with SBC than with EarthStink.

Yea, but we had a lot of line outages with SBC up in the NW burbs. The
lines in the NW need replacing badly. There's a couple places, that if I
dial up I can only get 22.4k speed, no matter how fast the other end is. (I
had verified that by dialing into the same number from other places and got
a 50.8k connect.)
