the problem is that as long as there is as much corruption in the UN
("Oil for Food = 26 "palaces" for Saddam).
And a very large contingent of the personnel with their hands out are
favorites of their governments (Can you say "Security Council"?)
There will be no changes.
I'd not donate to them nor do I like my tax money going there either.
(Hey Nat get a load of this.. Wife going in in the morning for
outpatient in OR to get a non-cancerous growth off the Ulna nerve. As
doctor won't use outpatient for this, our estimated charge is $15,000
of which we owe 10% of plus doctors fees - they anticipate less than
1/2 hour)
(Do you think that this is because 40% of this hospitals bills are
uncollectable?)
I doubt if it is 1/4" deep. No wonder insurance is so high. Yes she
is employed by same hospital!!

UNICEF is managed completely separately and outside of the UN.
If there's one thing I know about, its compliance and fundraising (ok
that's two) and UNICEF as an organization is clean as a whistle.
Give to the Red Cross too. |

That and the fact 99% of health care in this country is FOR PROFIT. Looks
like they'll make a bundle on you!
