As most people are aware, highway mileage for the Prius is a bit
dissappointing when you compare to EPA figures. So for 2006, Toyota will be
adding a new feature to enhance mileage at highway speeds. It is a small
electrical wind driven turbine. Apparently when you hit 55 mph, it will pop
out of the hood and the small fan blades will power a turbine that will
boost electrical input into the electrical motor and reduce dependence on
gasoline at high speeds. Check the Toyota site for more details.

What if there is 6 inches of snow on your hood, caked on by iced rain?
Hmm...

What's even funnier to me are those people that complain about the gas
mileage on these cars. Talk about high expectations.
