dodge flat head 6 |

a friend of mine bought a 1955 fargo pickup truck, the engine was siezed and
damaged enough, that he doesnt want to bother with it... Just curious if
anyone would know where he could buy an old flat head engine that would be a
good match for his 55 fargo..
thanks in advance

Get out into farm land and look for an old combine that's in disuse.
They used Chrysler industrial engines ranging from 235 to 251 cubes.
Outwardly they look the same and you'll have take the engine number
cast on the side to see what you have. I have an old rebuilder
casting number book around somewhere. The nice thing about them is
they are governed and normally have little wear. Should bolt up
nicely.

Hi there
Have you found an engine yet?
I also have a 55 Fargo and need a few bits and pieces for it -
including the windscreen and front guards. I am about to start my
search but will keep an eye out for an engine at the same time is you
still need one. Are you aware of any fargo shells floating around for
parts?
Cheers
steve
