Robin, look at your fuel pump on your Caddy....is it huge? If so it has
a vaccum pump built into it. I am sure the 53s had it.

Sorry for the late reply... we were just on a little family trip to Northern
Michigan with the Edsel, and I just got home at 10pm tonight.

Everything on the Caddie is huge. <laugh> I'm not sure there's a vac pump on
it. The Edsel, however, is suppose to have one, but I've never looked. I
will this weekend though, since I'm going to try to replace the fuel filter.

....well, IF I can find the one that goes in the bowl under the pump. If not,
I'll have to splice some sort of in-line unit in there somewhere. (and I'd
really rather not) All depends if I can find the filter element somewhere.

Wasn't too terribly far from you this week. We got as close as Iron Mountain,
MI. Actually, we side-tripped into Florence, WI, but that was to get cigs
cheaper. (They're killer in MI anymore.) One of these trips we'll end up in
your area, and then we'll have to get together for lunch or dinner.

I've finally figured out that I have to add 1 to 2 hrs into any driving day's
schedule. That extra time is just for talking about the Edsel at every gas
station, food stop, rest area, motel... anywhere it's stopped and I'm near it.
<laugh>

I should prepare pamphlets and just start handing them out when someone
approaches the car. <g>
